Every OK.ru video has an address ending in a long number. These all work:

• The mobile link from m.ok.ru, which is what you usually get when copying on a phone.
• The embed link in the form ok.ru/videoembed/1234567890123, used by websites that show an OK.ru player on their own pages.
• Videos in public groups, which have their own video links just like videos on personal pages.

A link to a person's profile or a group's main page won't work, because those pages hold many videos. Open the one you want and copy its link.

Friends-Only Videos, Closed Profiles, and Closed Groups

OK.ru lets people limit who sees what they post. Videos marked for friends only, videos on a closed profile, and videos inside a closed group only play for the people OK.ru has let in. They can't be downloaded here.

A quick way to check a link is to open it in a private or incognito window without logging in. If the video plays there, it's public and will download. If OK.ru asks you to log in or shows that the content is closed, ask the person who posted it to send you the file.
