How iFunny Actually Sorts What You See
A post on iFunny does not start out belonging to a themed community the way a subreddit works. When someone uploads, they either send it to Collective, the one shared stream where public posts show up as they come in, or show it only to their own subscribers. From there, a small share of Collective posts get pulled out and promoted into Featured, a curated selection refreshed several times a day, based mostly on how much engagement a post is picking up.
Separately, posts also carry tags, categories like Gaming, Politics, or Memes that make a post easier to find later by topic, and a Subscriptions feed shows new uploads only from the specific accounts someone follows. Collective, Featured, and tags are all different ways of browsing to the same public posts, so a public post downloads the same way wherever its link was found. The one exception is a post the creator shared with subscribers only. It can turn up in the Subscriptions feed of the people who follow that account, but it stays limited to them, and this tool respects that limit.
One Link Box, Three Possible File Types
iFunny content is not all one shape. A post might be a short video clip, a still picture or meme, or a looping GIF, and inside the feed the last two can look almost identical. Reading an iFunny Link Before You Paste It
An iFunny link usually tells you what it points to. Right after ifunny.co/ comes a word naming the post type: /video/ for a clip, /gif/ for a looping GIF, /picture/ for a still image. Then comes a short code that identifies that one post. Any link shaped like that is a single post, which is exactly what this tool needs.

Getting a Link That Actually Downloads

Why iFunny Won't Let You Save a Post Directly
iFunny is built for scrolling and sharing content inside the app, not for building a personal library of saved files, so most posts simply have no download icon anywhere on them. The closest built-in option is the Share button's Copy Link, which hands off to whatever app the link gets pasted into next, this tool included. That gap is the entire reason a separate downloader is useful here rather than a workaround inside iFunny itself.

- Wrong kind of link. A profile page, a tag page, or the Collective feed itself are all pages full of posts, not a single post. Open the post and copy its own link.
- It was shared with subscribers only. The creator limited that post to the people who follow them, and this tool only downloads public posts.
- The post is gone. Once the creator deletes it or iFunny removes it, there is no file left on the server to fetch.
- Stray text around the link. If the link came from inside a message, everything before
https://needs to go.

Reusing a Meme Without Crediting the Wrong Person
Saving a public post to watch or laugh at again later sits comfortably inside ordinary fair use.
