A Lemon8 Post Is Usually More Than One Picture

Lemon8 hands out two kinds of link for the same post, and both work here:

• The short share link: tapping Share and then Copy link in the app gives you something like s.lemon8-app.com/s/ followed by a short code. Paste it as it is.
• The full post address: in a browser, a post lives at lemon8-app.com/@username/ followed by a long number, often with ?region= and a country code on the end. That works too, extra part included.

Two other kinds of Lemon8 address are not posts. A profile link, lemon8-app.com/@username with nothing after the name, points to a whole account. A link containing /experience/ is a topic page that gathers many posts about one subject. Neither has a single file behind it, so open one post from the page and copy that post's link instead.

Screenshotting a Lemon8 post is the obvious shortcut, and it quietly costs you. A screenshot records your screen, not the photo, so every picture is cut down to your phone's display resolution and carries whatever the app draws on top of it. For a ten-photo post that is ten screenshots, each needing a crop.

Downloading skips all of that. Each photo arrives as the file Lemon8 stored, at full size, with no watermark and no buttons or captions laid over it, and a video arrives as the actual clip rather than a screen recording of it.

When a Post Won't Download

1. It is a profile or topic link. An @username link with nothing after it, or any /experience/ link, is a page of many posts. Open a single post and copy its link.
2. The account is private. Its posts are visible only to followers it has approved, so they cannot be reached from outside the app.
3. The post was deleted. Once the creator or Lemon8 removes it, there is no file left to fetch. Every request is made live, so there is no saved copy.
4. There is text around the link. If the link arrived inside a message, keep only the part that starts with https://.

Using Someone Else's Lemon8 Photos

A lot of what gets posted on Lemon8 is personal: people's own faces, homes, and outfits. Saving a public post to cook from or take shopping is ordinary personal use. Reposting those photos as your own, cropping out the creator, or using them to promote something without asking is a different matter, and it carries real legal risk whichever tool saved the file. If you share a creator's post anywhere, credit them, and ask first before using their photos commercially.
